Mandar naik
Mandar Naik (M.Tech – Biotechnology). He has previously worked on understanding the Cis-regulatory elements (a non-coding region) of Abd-B hox gene during his dissertation at the Rakesh Mishra Lab – CCMB, Hyderabad. Soon after, he joined TIGS where he worked on the neuro-anatomical aspect of blood feeding behavior in the female Anopheles mosquito. During this he successfully validated genetic molecular toolkits such as UAS-GAL4, FLP-FRT, QF-QUAS in the mosquito cell line.
He is a science buff, open to growing and expanding his interests. He believes in making technology accessible to low resource settings and he wishes that his work should contribute in achieving this huge feat.
